Supports and assists the parts department through assisting customers, and other various tasks given by the Corporate Parts Manager.


-Receives and responds to incoming calls for parts sales as well as dealing with walk in customers using professional customer service skills
-Receives and responds to quote requests from customers via phone, fax, or email
-Set up/update of part item cards
-Prepare parts quotes for customers
-Prepare purchase orders to submit to vendors via online, fax, or email
-Prepare sales orders for customers 
-Work with vendors to insure parts are purchased at the best possible price
-Will be responsible at times to ship out parts to customers or for branch transfers
-Will be cross-trained to order, post, and pull parts for service orders
-Assists in maintaining neat and orderly parts stock area
-Other duties as the situation warrants or as required or requested by Parts Manager

QUALIFICATIONS: MUST have 2 years parts dept. experience (equipment or automotive). Applicants who do not fulfill this criteria will not be considered.

KNOWLEDGE: Must be proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Must also be able to learn Scott-Macon Equipment's inventory system.
INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION: Must be able to effectively interact with customers and employees at Scott-Macon Equipment.

 CONFIDENTIAL AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION: Maintains confidential customer account information.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Uses company supplies and equipment. Protects company assets. Assists with determining accuracy of purchase orders from customers.
