Scott-Macon Equipment was founded in 1973 and is one of the leading independent equipment company in the Southern region of the United States.
The Company’s operations include the sale, rental, and servicing of a wide variety of lifting equipment including rough terrain hydraulic cranes, all-terrain cranes, boom trucks, truck cranes, crawler cranes and industrial carrydeck cranes, specialized hydraulic crawler cranes, material handlers, and aerial lifts.
Scott-Macon Equipment is a leading authorized dealer of Terex, Broderson and Tadano/Mantis cranes.
The Terex line of cranes
The Terex line of cranes includes Terex rough terrain hydraulic cranes, Terex-Demag all-terrain cranes, Terex boom trucks, Terex truck cranes and Terex American crawler cranes. Scott-Macon Equipment is also a dealer of Terex Genie aerial lift platforms and material handlers.
The Broderson line of cranes
The Broderson line of cranes include industrial carrydecks and rough terrain hydraulic cranes. The Tadano/Mantis line of cranes include hydraulic crawler cranes in a variety of capacities as well as pedestal mount cranes. Scott-Macon Equipment is also an authorized dealer of Sullair compressors.
One of the largest rental fleets of cranes in North America
Scott-Macon Equipment also sells previously-owned equipment, primarily from the Company’s well-maintained rental fleet.
Scott-Macon Equipment has one of the largest rental fleets of cranes in North America. The Company’s rents its cranes without operators (“bare”) from each of its locations in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Frequent crane rental customers are given the option of renting equipment under Master Rental Agreement which apply to multiple and repeat rentals in order to minimize customer paperwork requirements. In addition to single crane rentals, Scott-Macon Equipment’s sizeable rental fleet enables it to provide multiple crane packages for such purposes as plant turnarounds and large construction projects.
A foundation of customer service and product support
Scott-Macon Equipment has been built on a foundation of customer service and product support. A cornerstone of this foundation is a large equipment service operation with service and parts centers throughout Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
In addition to maintaining Scott-Macon Equipment’s fleet of rental equipment and providing product support for its dealer operations, Scott-Macon Equipment’s service capabilities provide customers with solutions for their parts and service needs.
Scott-Macon Equipment parts centers are also dealers for Greer Anti-two block systems, Gunnebo Johnson blocks, and McMillen augers.
Many customers rely on Scott-Macon Equipment’s parts and service department to repair and maintain their equipment, either on-site or at one of our repair facilities. For over four decades, Scott-Macon Equipment’s large fleet of experienced field service personnel have provided customers with rapid on-site analysis and repair of both new equipment under warranty and rental equipment under lease. We provide service to our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Scott-Macon has a diverse customer base ranging from large multinational process and engineering companies to local and regional contractors. The company’s rental operations are organized to be able to meet a wide variety of customer needs, ranging from complex multiple equipment packages for overseas projects to daily single-piece equipment rentals. Dedicated sales professionals work closely with customers to make sure initial customer requirements are met and followup through job completion to ensure customer satisfaction with either new or used equipment purchases or with our rental equipment.

Scott-Macon Equipment is managed by a team of experienced sales, service and equipment professionals who have worked together for approximately 25 years, and who have had significant equipment experience prior to joining the Scott-Macon team. Scott-Macon is privately-owned by its management.
